Aesrillo is a small planet that consists of merely TWO continents. Toessche and Rilournt. Toessche is a cold unforgiving land full of glaciers and large gullies unfit for most humans to live in. Rilournt on the other hand contains many warm and easily navigated lands such as fields and forests. The following information is of each individual landform found on each continent. Click on the links for a map view of each land.
The Honbure Pingos: Off the north coast of Toessche you can find the Honbure Pingos, masses of land formed from the thaw-freeze cycle. These small island like forms sit a couple of metres from the shore clustered together in a circular group of five. During winter Honbure Pingos freeze over and become slippery death-traps.
Rothbana Glacier: Formed from ice and rock debris the Rothbana Glaciers peak before falling into large ravines, the bottom of some are not visible from the taller edges of the peaks. Large valleys carve through the Glacier, often filling with icy cold water when Toessche summers come around. It is rare to find a flat piece of land here, and when you do you can be sure it will flood if summer is close at hand.
Rothbana Glacier Cave: A large hollow by the Asyr sea carved from the salt water. The inside glitters and sparkles beautifully. Ice formations dangle precariously from the ceilings and during low tide the cave floor is often littered with oddly shaped and colored shells. During high tide, the cave fills up quickly with the icy water, the process taking a matter of minutes.
Umraye Cirque: Formed by an outer peak of Rothbana Glacier and a large curving mountain. During summer the Cirque is filled with red dry dust that can get into the lungs causing a terrible cough. During winter the Cirque fills with soft snow, it is not advisable to visit during winter as often the snow can be many feet deep. During spring small tufts of browny-green grass can be seen littering the sides of the mountain.
Ume's Arete: Named after a young Iarithn who found his death on this treacherous mountain it certainly lives up to it's legacy. A tall thin mountain runs along the coast line, creating a tall rocky bluff on the sea-side. It's peak is no more than one metre wide but it's fall is enough to kill a man if he steps wrong. During winter snow covers the peak in a thick layer effectively leaving it untouchable and terribly deadly.
Lyehdan Plains: A large expanse of extremely flat land spreading from the east side of the Rothbana Glacier around the Umraye Cirque to collide with Ume's Arete. The eastern expanse of Lyehdan Plains often fill with water during the summer when the Rothbana Glaciers melt, the water creating a large pool before leaving behind shimmering sediments made of the small ice crystals that survived the melting. For the rest of the year the plains are completely dry.
Ruet Plateau: An extension on the Lyehdan Plains the Plateau is unprotected from the elements, leaving it's expanse rough, leaving it's surface severely eroded and dangerous. Broken expanse of sandstone covers the Plateau, it's height differing with every step, some tiles so thin that even the smallest amount of pressure could snap them. When it rains during summer, the crevices fill with water which further erodes the Plateau as it winds it's way through the temporary streams.
Bremit Dunes: Making up the center of Rilournt, the Bremit Dunes are large red sandy hills that shift day by day. They often prove to be difficult to traverse and as such is quite often ignored by travelers, however there is a thin road that runs through the center if you are lucky enough to find it.
Losdyn Valley: The sands of Bremit start hardening into stone as they rise into two great mountains on the southern side of Rilournt forming a great valley through which a small clear stream runs. The mountain sides are covered with green foliage all year round until come winter the cliffs turn a brilliant white and the waters freeze.
Britorim Dell: When the mountain subsides the land forms a small dell in which the trees grow plentiful and the ground is covered with vibrant flowers. Winter does not touch the floor of Britorim Dell, instead gathering on treetops which are visible from the peaks of Losdyn Valley. Soon the dip in the earth flattens to become a forest.
Roiavor Glade: Where the earth of Britorim Dell flattens the Roiavor Glade begins, the trees thick and green and lush. Tall grasses cover the ground here, and a wide river breaks the land in two. On the western side of the Glade there is a large field in which a line of four stones lay heating in the sun.
Tyawen Waters: A wide river that cuts through the centre of Roiavor Glade. It's waters are a deep blue-green shade, it's bottom the softest most delicate sands you will find. It's banks slope slowly from the water, transitioning smoothly from the golden sands into the tall thick grasses. At the edge of the glade where the Tyawen waters expand there is a small island in the center of the clear water. This is called the Tefeld Isle and is just a landform made of dirt and grass.
Joiteng Falls: Where Tyawen Waters meets the edge of a cliff that falls into a lagoon on the southern coast. The water rushes down the cliff creating such a mighty roar it's sound can be heard from miles away. When peering over the edge of the cliff all that can be seen at the bottom is a white fog. To see the lagoon one must climb down the steep and narrow rock-steps that have been carved into the bluff.
Meulir Lagoon: The basin is filled with water from Joiteng Falls and drains from a small opening in the bluffs walls. The rock curls in on itself at the base of the bluff to create a secluded lagoon under the cover of the white fog. A short cave mines into the side of the cliff to offer shelter to those who explore this part of Rilournt.
Rilournt Human Military Base: Located on the eastern edges of the Roiavor Glade the base is an open expanse of land on which large metallic sheds have been built. There are three sheds in a row each housing up to twenty humans. Behind the accommodation sheds are the Official sheds in which all meetings and training is held. Behind that is a white shed known as Quarantine. Here is where all new inhabitants of Aesrillo go to undergo the R.A.I surgery. Also the home of the infirmary.
